Today is a special day.













In Spain there are very important wetland areas. If you know them, you'll value and love wetlands.

- Tablas de Daimiel.

- Doñana.

In Castilla-La Mancha and Cuenca there are some wetlands, to be managed and restored.


AMPHIBIANS in Tablas de Daimiel

There are NINE different amphibians, there:

- Without a tale. They are called Anura.

  1. Iberian water frog                        Rana común                     (Pelophylax perezi)
  2. Iberian tree frog                           Ranita de San Antonio     (Hyla molleri)
  3. Spiny toad                                    Sapo común                     (Bufo spinosus)
  4. Sapillo moteado común
  5. Sapillo pintojo
  6. Sapo de espuelas
  7. Sapo corredor

- With a tale, called Caudata.

      8. Spanish ribbed newt              Gallipato                        (Pleurodeles waltl)
      9. Pygmy marbled newt             Tritón pigmeo               (Trituturus pygmaeus)
