Our school mate Oriol (P3B) brought to the classroom a coin from de United Kingdon. 

It's ONE POUND, £1. He knows it is worth more than a EURO, 1€.

'£' or '₤'  is the symbol for the GBP, The Great Britain Pound.  

It is a 'Pound sterling'.
